Great Spice Farm & Jozani Forest Tour I did the Spice Farm and Jozani Forest combination tour with Zanzibar Ibrahim Tour. I was travelling alone and had the tour to myself, which made it a very relaxed and personal experience. The Spice Farm was very interesting with a knowledgeable guide, followed by a delicious local lunch. Afterwards, we went to Jozani Forest, where we were very lucky and quickly found a large group of Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkeys. Everything was well organized from pickup to drop-off, and I felt safe and well looked after throughout the whole tour. A great experience and definitely recommended!Verified
A wonderful memory! Ibrahim was truly fantastic; he knows his country like the back of his hand and showed it to us with such joy. Ibrahim speaks French, which is quite rare in Zanzibar for a local guide.

Maluun Caves and round-trip transfer: The trip was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The driver was very courteous, as was the staff at Maluun Cave. Maluun Cave is a very picturesque place. Snorkeling equipment, water shoes, life jackets (if needed), and towels (very good quality) are provided free of charge. The entire area is very clean. We were also able to observe the monkeys, which can be seen in Jonazi National Park, very closely. Massages are also available. There is a restaurant on site serving light meals. We highly recommend this trip.

Great day at sea We had a lovely 3-hours tour with "Zanzibar Ibrahim Tours" which included snorkeling at the Blue Lagoon and starfish sightings. The snorkeling was amazing and we were very excited to see so many colorful starfish. Captain Moses was lovely, he served us a wonder platter of tropical fruits. Mikumi Day Trip Safari From Zanzibar FAQs
How long is the Safari?
It’s a full-day adventure! You’ll start early in the morning (around 04:30–6:00 AM) and return in the evening (around 4:00–5:30 PM).
Expect about 12–13 hours door to door, with 6–7 hours of thrilling game drives in the heart of the savannah.
Yes, it’s a long day — but totally worth it!
Will I see big animals?
Yes! Mikumi is full of wildlife – lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and more.
Is it safe?
Yes, it’s very safe.
The vehicles are specially designed for safaris with open tops but strong frames.
You’ll never leave the vehicle during the drive, except at safe picnic spots.
Your guides are trained in safety, and there’s always communication with the park rangers.
What should I pack for the day?
Pack light but smart:
- Passport (you’ll need it for the flight)
- Hat & sunglasses (the sun gets real)
- Camera or phone
- Light jacket for early morning or flight
- Comfortable shoe
- Some cash for souvenirs or tips
Is this a private safari or shared?
We offer both! Want a private experience with just your group? You got it. Prefer to join a small group and make new friends? That’s also available. Just tell us your preference when booking.
What is the best time of the year to take a day trip to Mikumi from Zanzibar?
Mikumi is amazing year-round, but if you want clear skies and the best wildlife spotting, aim for the dry season:
June to October – animals gather around waterholes, making them easier to spot.
November to March is also great, with lush green landscapes and active wildlife — just expect a quick tropical shower now and then.
But!
No matter when you go, it’s always an adventure!
